Good Governance
Active participation of community members in the community matters is the base of sustainable community development. Active participation of the community members would help the local government to tackle the problems at grass root level. Hence Kripa organise the community members through the formation of community based organisation and try to generate cooperation, collaboration and we feeling among them. In this process of social mobilisation Kripa tries to promote local leadership among the community, accountability, transparency, responsiveness, consensus, participatory, inclusive and efficient. Women and men are being initiated to develop village development plans for their villages and to implement the plan by the community itself by actively participating in the Gram Sabha, public hearing and approaching different government departments. Kripa conducts various training on different concepts like Gram Sabha, government schemes, social issues, micro plan, leadership, networking, public hearing, etc., to develop leadership quality in the people. Different activities are being implemented to increase the knowledge of the community members and to develop their skills and confidence. The effort of Kripa is to initiate the people in the process which leads to sustainable development of the villages and quality of life of the community members in the villages. In some villages Kripa has facilitated the local leaders and community members to develop village development plans and to identify and prioritize their local issues. Community members have done proactive participation and worked on the prioritized issues either in collaboration with Panchayat or by their own volunteer initiative.
