Society is a web of relationship among individuals. An individual is having his/her being and life in the society. Individual receives everything from the society for their development. It is the society which contributes for the growth of an individual. Society nurtures, protects and educates the individual to become a human being who has got love for his/her of fellow beings. When individuals receive benefits from the society then they have got duties towards the society. Such responsibilities should promote dependency and interdependency among the members of society irrespective of religion, colour, language, creed and caste. All the brothers and sisters because of the loving affection of heavenly Father. Such oneness and togetherness should promote human dignity. Mutual respect, understanding and relationship really protect the human dignity and even help us to realize it in its fullness.

Kripa Social Welfare Society works in urban and rural communities with a mission to empower people, especially the marginalized sections of the soeity, by restoring their human dignity and enhancing their capacities. Kripa has its own well designed strategies, ie, right based approach, integrated approach, promotion of transparency and accountability, result based management, networking and participatory approach to empower the people to restore their human dignity. Kripa is implementing various programmes to enhance and empower the capacity of the people to contribute for the development of the society in particular and for the development of the nation at large. Hence KSWS arranges different awareness programme and trainings to the women, children, youth and farmers on their own respective fields. Awareness programmes that mainly focused on, rights of children and women, awareness and trainings related to agriculture and organic farming, social issues, micro plan, Gram Sabha, micro enterprises, community health, HIV/AIDS, TB, Malnutrition, sanitation, adolescent health education, public hearing, government schemes etc.

Kripa is the net result of dedicated work and commitment of many genuine and responsible members of the commmunity. It formally keeps on record its obligation to the operating partners, priests, religious, donors, government officials, bankers, field staff, office staff, well wishers, general body, governing body and all those who help in relizing our vision and mission. And finally 'Kripa' admits and credits to Jesus our Lord, for all its success, for whose glory that she do everything.

Human life is precious and it is a gift of God. This belief motivates Kripa Social Welfare Society (KSWS) to render its service to thousands of people in its target area. God has created every human being in his own image and likeness. The human beings are blessed with many talents. Every human person is called to live a life in fullness. This universe is the 'common home' of all the created beings. Man is the 'crown' of the universe and it is man's responsibility to make the universe a peaceful place of dwelling for all the beings. As human beings we have our own duties twoards the environment and its protection. The common good society, especially the life and dignity of a human person is central to the Catholic approach to environmental concern.

KSWS with its various programmes reaches out to the society to create environmental awareness among all the sections of the society and to educate them on the preservation and management of natural resources. KSWS forms farmers club and water shed committees to encourage the farmers to respect the nature and to promote eco-friendly agriculture. In this move KSWS has been organzing various programmes on organic farming, need for soil and water testing, integrated pest management and making vermi compost in the selected villages. KSWS has helped hundreds of farmers to establish link with different departments like agriculture, horticulture and Krishi Vykyan Kendra. I am happy that many farmers have benefited through the initiative of Kripa Social Welfare Society. KSWS also promotes tree plantation, construction of various water shed structures like farm bund, stone bund, gully plugh and deepening of existing ponds to arrest the soil erosion and to collect the water in the village itself. I am happy to note that KSWS has several hundreds of people in more that 282 villages and slums through the committed services of the KSWS Staff.

Let me take this opportunity to express our gratitude to funding agencies for their constant financial and technical support to Kripa Social Welfare Society in its various developmental programmes. I do appreciate the hard work and commitment of KSWS team for their contribution to realization of th vision and mission of KSWS. Let me place on record the gratitude of KSWS, to government deparments, police deparment and other likeminded NGOs who have been constant supporters of KSWS for attaining its goal.
