Care and Support Programmes

Care and support programmes encompass all the areas of care needed for a PLHA to improve their quality of life with HIV. It is envisaged through capacity building programmes, direct supports like nutrition, medical and education support. These direct interventions will improve their health, which will lead them to a healthy life and social acceptance. The PLHAs will be empowered to tap the existing government welfare schemes, which will give them permanent means of income for the families. Care and Support Programme provides various services like, nutrition support to the families, education support for the children, boarding facility for the poor girls affected with HIV, case and support home for the orphan children infected with HIV, income generation programmes for the PHLAs, Self Help Group for the affected with HIV, Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission Programme (PPTCT), TB Awareness and DOTs Providing Centre and HIV field level testing facility.
