The dental treatment of the PLHAs were always difficult due to the stigma attached to them. If they reveal their HIV status some of the hospitals and clinics used to refuse them for the treatment. Some PLHAs used to access the treatment without revealing their HIV status which was dangerous for the general community. Understanding the importance of this aspect Saathi undertook a new initiative in the field of HIV care and support by establishing a full-fledged dental clinic exclusively for the PLHAs. The clinic is set up with the donations received from the local people. Pushpa Mission Hospital donated the chair required for the clinic. Two young doctors provided their voluntary services for the noble cause.
